Leave it to Chanel to settle the side parting debate that has been raging between Tiktok¡¯s Gen-Z community and their older counterparts, millennials. At the fashion house¡¯s Cruise 2021/22 show in Provence on 4 May, models wore their hair in deep-set side partings that looked effortlessly cool.
From long, tousled waves to shorter, blunt-cut bobs and modern mullets, there was a side parting for everyone, care of hairstylist Damien Boissinot. While some girls wore their hair clipped to one side (with Chanel barrettes no less), others wore their hair intentionally falling over one eye.
It¡¯s a look that summons both the ¡¯60s (reminiscent of certain images of Jean Shrimpton¡¯s side partings and voluminous roots), and punk rock, and while a good haircut is always important, the best thing about this Chanel hair trend is that pretty much anyone can try it.
